These terms govern your use of Recent Funding: the website at https://recentfunding.com, the newsletter, and the API (together, "the service"). By using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date above, and the new terms apply from then on. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the updated terms.
What Recent Funding is
Recent Funding is a directory of startups and their funding rounds. We compile it from public sources: fundraising trackers, news articles, accelerator and investor portfolio pages, company websites, and public social media profiles. Every funding amount we publish links to the page it came from.
The service is provided for information only. It is not investment, legal, tax or financial advice, and nothing on it is an offer or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Do your own research before making any decision.
Accuracy
We work to keep the data correct and sourced (see how we source and verify funding data), but public sources are sometimes wrong, incomplete or out of date, and so are we. The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. If something is wrong, tell us at hello@recentfunding.com and we'll look at it.
Using the service
You may browse the site, share links to it, and use the API. You agree not to:
- use the service in a way that breaks the law or infringes anyone's rights;
- overload, disrupt or attack the service, or get around rate limits or access controls;
- send spam or unsolicited messages to people or companies listed on the service;
- use the service to harass, track or profile individuals;
- present our data as your own. If you republish it, credit Recent Funding and link back.
The API
The API is free, read-only and requires no key. We may rate-limit, change or withdraw it at any time. If you use API data in something you publish, credit "Recent Funding" with a link to https://recentfunding.com. Use of any source we link to is governed by that source's own terms.
Company and founder information
Information about companies and their founders comes from public sources. If you're listed and something is wrong, or you'd like information about you removed, email hello@recentfunding.com and we'll respond promptly. See our Privacy Policy.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we'll email you about startup funding. Every email has a way to unsubscribe, and you can also email us to be removed.
Intellectual property
The site's design, code, logo, and the way we compile and present the data belong to Recent Funding. The underlying facts belong to no one, and the sources we link to keep their rights in their own content.
Links to other sites
We link to many other websites, mostly as sources. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Recent Funding is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any decision made or action taken based on information on the service.
Changes to the service
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
